On this day in 1970 the Baltimore Orioles closed out the home-stand with a 5-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Jim Palmer struggled through 6.0 innings of work; he allowed 5 runs on 7 hits while walking 3 and striking out 2 to drop his record to 18-8.

Among the Orioles 6 hits was a Davey Johnson homerun.  Elrod Hendricks went 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and Merv Rettenmund added 2 hits of his own.
