DO you think Mike Yastrzemski would be making a difference for them then?

Elias let Little Yaz and Wojo go. He claimed Brice but DFAd him. He claimed Alberto but DFAd him, luckily we got him back. Smith Jr was a success. Ruiz has flopped. Broxton was a train wreck.

People may look down upon waiver claims, but the whole point of it is for competitive balance. I’d say Elias hasn’t used our #1 position as good as he could have.

Gausman lit up in last start,  6 runs, 9 hits, no command....Braves fan sites pulling their hair out about him only having two pitches...lol.  -1.1 WAR with 5.97 ERA

O’Day yet to throw a pitch, 9 million paid by Braves rather than us.

Trade will turn out better than conventional wisdom, imho.

Cashner finally has a good start with the Sox, getting the win against the Yankees. 6.2 IP, 3 ER, 6 Ks.

Mmm, but 10 hits and a walk in 6.67 IP....

Cashner's last five games with the O's: 5 ER in 32 IP, 1.41 ERA; 19 hits, 4 BBs/18 Ks.

His four games with the RSox: 19 ER in 23.33 IP, 7.33 ERA (5.2 times worse); 31 hits, 10 BBs/16 Ks.
