Curious to see how fall Diaz keeps dropping.  He might land here, but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't.

With mention of 4th outfielder potential and some glowing remarks for others, I went Lowther/Vavra.  The drop overall is interesting.

(FWIW I've been wrong pretty much every time, so what do I know...haha)

Yeah, I officially don't have a clue anymore. Every time I go with upside over current value, Tony goes the other way and vice versa. I guessed Lowther and Vavra since Vavra is more advanced than Mayo and plays up the middle, but it wouldn't shock me if Mayo is here. The 2020 draftees are getting ranked pretty high

Part of the problem is that it’s a game of “Guess What Tony Thinks.”  Nothing wrong with that.  But the question here isn’t what do you or I think?  I am pretty much in tune with Tony’s thinking 1-7.  From there on out it’s a crapshoot. Just glad the Orioles have much higher quality crap now!

Is it cheating to look a guy up? My instinct was Lowther because of what Tony said about Akin in the previous pairing, and Vavra, but I had to check out Vavra’s scouting report, and that sold me. He’s ahead of Diaz Because he’s advanced, younger than Diaz, and probably more versatile.
Tony’s  philosophy is “who would I rather have” and that’s entirely valid, but I seem to also be favoring guys who are more advanced and closer to being ready than I am on who has the higher ceiling.
Lowther-Vavra.

BTW Mayo is at 24 on the MLB list. Either Tony has him a lot higher, or he just threw him out there as a tease.

11 is Lowther based on the other threads. 12 is between Diaz and Vavra, IMO. I chose Vavra. Getting some CF time, at a minimum, raises his floor. Or, it indicates they don't like his infield defense, which could stink.

I don't think he's here because of the unknowns, but I love the write-ups on Mayo and think he could be a top 5 prospect in 2 years.

And I still think Diaz can be a LF/RFer of the future here. I really want to see his production if he actually stays healthy. Maybe it's a character thing. I don't know. Seems to have more upside than the stat sheet is telling us.

I think we know Lowther is 11, since he was going to be 10 before Tony had a change of heart and inserted Akin there.    I’m going with Diaz here purely because he’s the furthest along and has formerly been ranked higher than this.

Got that one right.
