Hypothetically how good would the Os be right now

Well Villar isn’t good.

If you have KG and Bundy, you don’t have Harvey for sure, so that is canceled out in a lot of ways. Obviously Zimmerman isn’t here either.

Its also tough to say how those 2 would be pitching in our park.

My guess is basically what they are now.  They are 3 games under 500.

Gausman and Villar would have been free agents before now, so we’ve had just as much chance to sign them for 2021 as we would have if we hadn’t traded them.    Bundy would be in his last year before FA.

But playing along, if Gausman and Bundy were here and playing as well as they are on their current teams (a big if), we’d be a bit better this year.  The Angels and Giants have gone 5-5 when those two pitchers have started.    The O’s are 3-7 when Zimmermann and one of López/Kremer have started.   So maybe we’d be 13-12 instead of 11-14.   The 2020-21 version of Villar probably doesn’t help us.

One of the more amusing what-ifs i roll around sometimes is what if we extended Nelson Cruz for 7 / $161M and let Davis go instead.

If i had a time machine that would be the.......4th thing i do.

Flip the red switch and not the blue.

I'm not expecting anyone to get that reference so don't feel bad.

Why Harvey and Zimmerman and not Lopez and Kremer?

Villar is OPS'ing 660, not setting the world on fire but almost 200 points better than the combo of Urias, Ruiz and Valaika who are combined something like 480.  Plus he can play SS.
