Might not be necessary. Wells has looked pretty darn good lately. Legitimate downhill fastball with big breaking ball.

They shouldn’t have brought him back at all.

He might have to come off the injured list before they put him on waivers and offer him back to the Reds.  He has not done enough on the rehab assignment to stay of he 40 man IMO.   If he has I am not aware of it.  That is why I am surprised they did not keep him on rehab longer.   Maybe they think the Reds will not pay 50k to get him back.

Agreed. That pick seems like nepotism to me. Wells has promise.
