Putting aside results/outcomes for the moment, but To me, Hays has physically looked stronger/faster these last few appearances (even if sporadic usage) rather than his IMO 80% and constantly banged/nicked up. I see him continuing to get more comfortable in this limited role and be a real asset as weak side platoon and pinch hitting option. -
Yeah not concerned about the lack of home runs. Juan Pierre went entire seasons with 0 to 3 home runs and put together a good career. -

Unfortunately Kimbrel is one of our two most reliable delvers with Coloumbe. It appears the glass slipper is coming off of Cano foot. I do t trust him at all in a big spot. The league had adjusted to his one dimensional ability to only pitch at the bottom of the zone. -
Isn't this pretty much the same performance, only they gave him more carries? -

I agree that Irvin is not in our "big 3", but if he continues to pitch well, it would be great to have a lefty starter in OPACY for the playoffs. I don't think we should be heading into the postseason counting on Kimbrel for the 9th inning. The rest of this roster is good enough to win a championship; they need a top tier closer. -

In terms of team needs hard throwing bullpen arm ranks first for me over starting pitcher even with Means injury. It's very possible Elias trades for a couple pitchers at the trade deadline with one of them being a starter. A reliever that can throw upper 90's will go a long way in the second half and playoffs.
