No Major League Rule V?

This must be the most difficult part of the lockout for the Orioles... Poor guys.

But its the most exciting part of the winter. Finding out who will be the next Richie Martin.

I think the rule 5 is a fun, quirky part of baseball. It's obscure and a few teams always manage to steal a few players who have a lot of success. What's not to like? Unless you're really forcing it like we did in a couple Duquette years there.

What was weird is that DD was always in on the Rule 5 even with a decent payroll and a contending team. We also successfully stashed Flaherty, Santander, and Garcia. Aroujo was real close but he had to do some time on the active roster the following season and didn’t make it. Nestor Cortes has had success after we returned him to the NYY.

Garcia was the one I was thinking of. Man that was a stretch keeping that guy on the roster.
