It won’t happen, but would love to see the team make a splash by making a surprise big-name addition who can serve as a pillar of the transition from “rebuild” to “upgraded on-field product”.  It would give fans a huge shot in the arm.

I basically disengaged from baseball and Hot Stove talk when the lockout began, I'm sure I'm forgetting some major free agents that are still out there.

I don't know what the Orioles will do, but I do think the Teams and Players doing baseball things NBA-style will be a blast, and the Baseball Media Complex will try to spin it as part of the restitution to "fans".  Hang on for the ride!    

Curious to learn the exact details of those extra draft picks/pool money for Rookie of the Year top finishers as Adley v. Witt v. Torkelson v. Greene v. Baz v. Rodriguez commences.

Existing qualifying offers still in effect so Correa, Freeman, Story, Castellanos, and Conforto will still require draft pick compensation.

Wonder if Tampa is going to keep pushing for Freeman?
