1-0 shutout over the A’s. Pitching was mostly dominant throughout. Defense looked pretty good, too. Glad to see Lopez work in the 8th and have a lights out 9th.

The A’s are usually good and consist of guys I barely know so it’s hard for me to tell if it’s their AAA squad or not.

I guess no Chapman and Olson is a good place to start though.

Whether it’s the A’s or AAA’s, we know that it doesn’t take a good team to make our pitching look awful. The last few years it feels like we would have walked seven guys, missed a few balls in the field, and lost that game by a couple runs.

That’s a great stat.

1-8 if the other teams scores. 
 

Small sample size aside, that’s pretty crazy.  Shows just how bad the offense has been.

Yeah, when you score 2 runs every game... but nice to see improvement somewhere.  Crazy start.

The O's always pitch well in Oakland. I remember Harvey was dominant at their place last year.  Still fun to watch.

Yep and the A's always seem to do enough to win tight, low scoring games.   Our record out there and the west coast in general has been terrible for a long time.

OH yeah.  Lots of 2-1, 3-2, 4-3 games.  Aside from a random sweep I recall, also terrible in Anaheim.
