I like this Carpenter kid for Detroit. He has a good looking swing with some strength and pop.  He's going to do well in this league.

Been running errands and packing the cooler and equipement for the tailgate at VT tomorrow night, while listening on the radio.   Car is packed.   Finally sitting down to watch the rest on TV.   So Stower's HR was opposite field?   It cleared the WALL?!?

He's looked pretty awful in the field to me.   Eye test, don't know what the stats say although his sample size is still pretty small so they probably don't mean much yet.

Let me get this straight:

5 runs in a game where Vavra and Stowers are playing.  Both have scored runs.  Vavra has a couple of walks.  Stowers has gone deep.

And they haven't been playing all the time?  What are the odds both of them aren't in the lineup tomorrow?
