I laughed when Lyles was asked about pitching to Judge and he responded "I wanted to get out of the Bronx alive."

Could you imagine if Voth had hit him on the hand instead of the elbow guard and knocked him out for a while? Yankees fans would have gone ballistic.

I guess I missed the unwritten rule where if a guy is trying to move into sole possession of 7th place on the all-time single-season homer list you have to stop trying to win the game and throw him meatballs.  Somebody needs to write these things down, I'm always forgetting.

The amount of crying over this is astounding. 
 

Quite frankly, I don’t get why this hasn’t been done more often. The Yankees don’t have a very intimidating lineup. He should have been pitched around a lot more.

My thing is this shouldn't be a new strategy for the O's with Judge. All season, even before that, I kept saying to people, "Why do we even pitch to this guy?". Now that it doesn't matter anymore, I don't really care that much. Go for it. Try to strike him out.

No way.  If I was pitching to him, I would not want to be remembered as ‘that pitcher’ who gave up the 61st gopher ball to him.  So I say ‘hell no’ to your comment.

62, but I do agree with the video show earlier somewhat. No one remembers that anyway.

Yea I agree with that too. No one remembers and no one cares.

At this point, I just hope he doesn’t get it just because of these dbag fans.  Judge himself is actually a great dude and a hell of an ambassador for the sport. So, for him, I hope he does it but to see that fan base suffer, only to watch them suffer more when they lose early in the playoffs, is very gratifying.

Easy solution. He gets it, but on the road in Texas instead of at Yankee Stadium. Fans don’t get to say they were there and Yankee Stadium doesn’t get yet another iconic moment. But Judge gets his record. 
 

one more game to avoid this HR. At this point for today it’s all I care about.
