If we get to 84-78, and Boston beats Tampa  today and the Rays finish 86-76, we can say that ONE game against the Rays cost us the playoffs.   Because one more win would make us 85-77, and that Ray loss would make them 85-77, and they won the season serise 10-9 so one more win against them would mean we would have won the season series 10-9 and had the tiebreak.

The umpire scorecards probably need "last day of season" splits.     My guess is MLB is not going to encounter any length of game issues today.     

The robozones might even have Game 162 settings.

The O's and the umps are already thinking of their offseason plans.  The Blue Jays are much more interested in their 1st playoff game.  If teams could still have 40 man rosters in September/October, we might see a lineup that would be embarrassing for AAA.
