Curious to see if this nudges Justin Turner out of town.    He isn't Dansby Swanson, but he is a hold up before Ramon Urias can get to the top of anyone's options list for 3B.     

Evan Longoria claims he isn't retired "but is interested in a contender", maybe facing challenge no contenders are interested in him.

Updated the OP though 12/17 Swanson/Hedges/Martinez.  I have total spending at $3.383 bb.  That excludes all deals under $5 mm.

Honestly though, while Lyles was ok at what he did, I'm fine with Gibson for 1 year over a two year for Lyles!

Me too.  Most winning teams though do have a Lyles or Gibson every year so we may just have to find a new one every season .. there is downside risk to 2 years but the upside could be if he overperforms then you  get a second year way below market.

They weren't looking for a righthanded hitter. 

The party line, at least what they are feeding Roch, is that they wanted a LH hitting 2Bman.
