The weather guy I follow on Facebook said yesterday that it was premature to postpone the game.

I was kinda shocked that it was postponed so early. How often have you seen it postponed 24 hours before the game without it being something like a hurricane or major storm center?

Well as someone who would rather go tomorrow than today (due to work), I was fine with the early call but yeah, it appears to have been done too early. Weather around here is very fickle, particularly forecasting thunderstorms and snow.

A normal game would not have been postponed like that but when you have the massive show of an opening day it's really hard to risk it getting washed out.  Reasonable call.  Phillies and Mets (and maybe others) did the same thing.

We skipped playing on National Tartan Day ( Scottish Independence) to play on Good Friday.  Sorry, I'm bored when there isn't a game. 23 hours and counting!

I thought you were all about process over outcome.  They postponed like three other teams in coordination with the league office for the benefit of fans.  Weather changed.  Sounds like a good process.

The weather didn’t change.  They just overrated the potential of the storm. Stupidity isn’t a smart part of any process.

It’s not stupid.  They traded a day with a good chance of disruptive weather for a day when that risk doesn’t exist.  By not waiting they gave people time to adjust their plans.
