Trade Target - Bryan Reynolds

Bryan Reynolds is a switch hitting COF who projects as a top 10 LH Bat.

Comfortable that the O's INF configuration of the future is within the system and a major FA acquisition or trade is unnecessary and poor use of player or $ resources.

Not convinced the OF has as many options or projectable first division starters.   There are some OF lottery tickets and flawed players on the 40 man and throughout the minors but not Holliday, Ortiz, Westburg, Norby, Henderson, Vavra level depth.   There is no one pushing McKenna, Hays, Santander and certainly not Mullins off the roster and it seems that some of the INF depth will be developed for OF which probably doesn't bode well for OF defense which suddenly looks like a team weakness.

The Pirates are not contenders.  IMO BR is the player to go after and Os have the prospect capital, but with 3 years of team control he will not be cheap and will be one of the bigger deadline names.

Will Elias make something happen, make Pittsburgh a wow offer now? Should he?

There are serious holes in the roster aside from pitching.

Still doesn't change my opinion that if we're going to trade for big name players it needs to be pitching.

That's by choice at the moment.

I mean, he would be a massive upgrade to the OF and offense, but they could definitely use another starting pitcher.

I went into this off-season hoping that they would start using some of the infield prospects, and I'm still hoping that they do so I'm the outfield either this season or going into '24.

Kjerstad may in the majors as the RF before the year is out.    Cowser is supposed to be Hays replacement.    Stowers?  Beavers maybe.  Westburg could turn out to be a corner OFer.    Some think Fabian is the next CF.   Mullins and Hays will be with the O's for at least another year.
