White Sox series

Just Regular

I know it is in Tyler Wells DNA to throw a lot of strikes, but team-wise CHW is continuing its long tradition of being among the very worst Clubs at chasing non-strikes.     Catchers, coaches, whoever - please use a little bit of caution, at least with Robert and Moncada.

Clevinger, Kopech and Cease are the 4-5-1 starters, so another very tough opponent for Grayson at the end of the series.

I was surprised looking at RS/RA that despite Cease being terrific, the White Sox have let in more runs than the Orioles in their first 13 games.     All three of their SP this series are walking >10% of Batters Faced so far.

I don't understand how the White Sox have the early record that they have.  They have some good talent.

Our pitching needs to get it together.  Unfortunately, I don't think this is the series they do it.

Bad BP, cancer for Hendricks didn't help em, Tim Anderson and Eloy Jimenez both hurt already... the team is stacked on paper to start the season but injuries doom them annually.

Be very happy to take 2/3 with how we have been pitching.

Even if our pitching had been great, we should almost always be happy to go 2/3 on the road against quality opponents (asking in advance, of course).

Was hoping we would avoid Cease. Slightly annoyed that we keep drawing aces in this young season. Are we ever allowed to miss a teams ace in a series?

Well, we missed Cole during the Yankees series.  But we made up for it by treating Brito like an ace… the very same Brito that the Twins knocked out of the game in their nine run first inning at Yankee Stadium yesterday btw.
