I had the same thought about Mountcastle yesterday. He puts up empty stats like Tony Batista or Joe Carter (and he's not as good as Joe Carter).

god seeing mountcastle is up for his automatic out is of frustrating. If we have two outs and runners on and he comes up I just go get a glass of water to save my blood pressure

I was actually hoping they would have gotten rid of him during the off-season. Maybe they were hanging onto him for trade potential? I don't know...
