How do you leave Gibson with nothing pitch into the fifth inning? He was lucky he didn't give up even more.

The Orioles are 7-3 in their last 10 games.  Tampa just went 8-2.  That is not on the any manager.   If that holds up the rest of the season Tampa will win the division by winning 105 games or so.  No ones fault.  They have a tougher schedule in the last 28 games.  If they win 80% they will earn the division.  Lets see what happens.

Once again, not good enough to be 7-3 when your opponent is 8-2. Every game matters, it's a race.

Man, nothing but respect for the Rays. With all the injuries they've had and the Franco mess and they're just plowing through all of it. If the Orioles win the division they will have earned it.

You have to give them credit.  They lost McClanahan and Franco and actually picked up the pace rather than hanging their heads.  But, we’ll see how September goes.

It’ll be interesting to see how this goes. It’s been noted on here ad nauseam about this unswept streak, how consistent the Orioles have been. IIRC us and the Braves have been the only teams in the majors that have had winning a winning month every month over the course of the season. 
 

But Tampa can and has been unbelievably hot. We’re gonna see what pays off here this month.

One of the fringe benefits of this wonderful season is the spice it adds to following more Best vs. Best stuff around the game.

Next HR for Acuna is #30. He will be the first ever 30/60 man. He is a beast. 

MLB radio was saying this AM that ALT has a chance to break the single season team HR record. Apparently they have 250 with 30 games to go. Record is 307.

It’s especially impressive because the record was set in 2019, when leaguewide HR rates were significantly higher than they are now.

They are the best team in baseball. Really fun to watch. I live in Asheville, NC. Easy drive, relatively speaking, to ATL to see them play. Great ballpark.
