He's already used his leverage guys, Do you think Fuji would have been the better option? He doesn't want to pitch Felix 2 innings every time he takes the mound, it's a long season and you have to account for all of these innings.

Every time? He's done it, what, once in the last month?

Bautista was at nine pitches though he could have pitched another inning with ease. You try to get the win tonight and take your chances tomorrow knowing it will be a rest day for Bautista.

Hyde has done that trick a ton of times.  It’s not like he is scared to do it.   That should tell you a lot about why he didn’t.

Hilarious. This is a division rival.

Hilarious, it's a balanced schedule and we likely have nothing to do with what happens to Toronto, these 3 games aren't making or breaking them.

If Hyde didn't want Bautista to go 2, it would have made more sense to have Bauman pitch the 9th. Facing the bottom of the order vs the heart, and no runner on second

You never want to lose without your best pitcher having had an opportunity to pitch.

I'd be okay with it this time just because he's had 2 days rest and had only thrown 9 pitches.  That said, if you don't want to use him there, not many options.  That's why we should have gotten another arm at the deadline.  Elias must have felt the offers were too much, but in so he's taking a risk on Hall and Wells, and the games you risk losing until they get here.

Getting swept in this series keeps them in striking distance for the division.
