John Means 2023 (finally)

Means struggled the first few innings and was pretty lucky to allow only one run.   He seemed to pitch better as the game went along.

I generally felt like he made it a conversation today who is better John Means or Justin Verlander.     Handling the top of the Astros lineup 3rd time through in the 5th inning was a strong finish.

If I could pick one guy on the O's staff to pitch today and turn things around?

 

It would be John Means.  I love this guy and always have.  You can tell he is starting to feel his oats out there.  Getting back into the groove. 

 

He has that "I am the best look".

I don’t know how the rest of his year (or career for that matter) plays out but it’s awesome to see him throwing in ML games again… even though he’s a WV Mountaineer. Booooooo

Bradish, Grayson, Means, and Kremer is a very strong top 4 for any rotation.

He looked great, I was joking in the game thread about his lack of K's but this Cleveland team strikes out about 4 times a game. Really huge way to pickup the pen, John!

In the playoffs do you go Bradish, Means, Grayson or Bradish, Grayson, Means.  I think I do the for the latter because like the different looks in that order.

Probably depends on who they draw and whether or not they hold onto the division…which is why it makes holding onto the division so important (I know, Captain Obvious)
