Cionel Perez is a candidate. The Orioles can't keep pitching Cano as the closer when he's shown nothing in recent weeks. Try out Tyler Wellls the answer isn't to continue going with Cano.

I am not sure what is going on with Cano, but they need to get it fixed.

Well, its embarrassing that the schedule makers made the Orioles play 17 straight games in September. Its embarrassing that Elias knows this yet demotes his effective bulk reliever to have Vespi for one day and then demotes him the day after so you can't bring ether guy up for 15 days. 

It embarrassing that your manager thinks he must use 5 plus relievers every game.

All of this is embarrassingly bad, but the Orioles are still in 1st place and the Rays just lost another good player, so hell, I guess its just the way it is this year.

Bullpen is completely shot and the best we can hope for from Means tomorrow is 5 innings

Maybe we just aren't any good. All our bullpen was castoffs from somewhere else. Elias could have helped the pen at the deadline and he stood pat. I ll be shocked if we win a series in the playoffs.

He needs regular work. The problem with him closing is that he can’t necessarily get it.
