Mounty is off the IL but not starting against a LHP. Weird.

Roch said they wanted to make the move today so that McKenna would be sent down in time to be eligible to come back up and be on the ALDS roster if needed.

Which answers a question we had on the Weams Board.   Apparently you do have to stay down 10 days if you are sent down now, even though the minor league season will be over no later than tomorrow.

Gerrit Cole saw Bradish's line yesterday and absolutely does not want to be denied the Cy Young. Four shutout one-hit innings against Toronto so far. I wouldn't count on the Jays being any help this weekend either.

Toronto is risking getting dropped from the playoffs. They needed to win these two games against an eliminated NYY. Now they have to face TB and I am not sure they are going to lay down for a divisional rival, even if the Orioles clinch.
