I don't know what he's asking for but, this seems like a high reward type of move. He did really well in Japan overall and great down the stretch. Could be that TOR guy we need and might not cost $25m+ over 4+ years as he could maybe be had for a welcome back/ prove it deal.

While the 2.76 ERA looks good on paper, teams only averaged 3.5 Runs (MLB was at 4.62).  His ERA was 13th out of 26 that pitched 100 innings.

You are correct that he finished strong.

I don't think he's a TOR guy and wouldn't want him on the team.

I would sign him n a heartbeat. My bet is he is looking for a pillow deal. I would try and throw in a big priced team option. His sex life is truly none of my business. This is baseball.

I don't want him anywhere near our young players.  We clearly have an excellent clubhouse chemistry that is more valuable than anything he can bring on the field.
