I don’t either but if Beavers is 7 or 8 and Cowser is 6, it’s not like they are terribly far apart.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.  Guys can be right next to each other on the list but a clear tier apart.  Last year Holliday was 3 and Hall was 4 but I wouldn’t say it was close between the two.  That said, last year Tony had Cowser 8 and Beavers 12, but both with 50 future grades, so I agree Tony probably doesn’t see them as far apart.

I'm with the majority on this one. Beavers (ascending) and Bradfield (toolsy #1 pick). I too am nervous about the ISO for Bradfield, but the floor is decent and the hit tool is actually really good, just not powerful.

Could Beavers jump Cowser? While I personally think that Beavers will overtake him in Baltimore some day, I just don't think that he's achieved that status yet. Cowser's still a good prospect, but also with the flaw of whether he can catch up to velo.

And if the board's right, Norby/Povich are outside of the top 10. That's just amazing in a good way. I know they have warts, but they're still two really good prospects who will likely spend multiple years on ML rosters, perhaps excelling.

I personally think Norby should be ahead of Horvath. The age difference is only a year and Norby has accomplished way more.

I also think, as I said, many of these guys are interchangeable.

I certainly agree many are interchangeable on this list. There's really good depth.

Like I said, I'd actually prefer an international guy or two at 10, most notably (for me) DeLeon. I can't wait for Tony's write-up about him. I assume it'll be conservative. I could definitely be over my skis on him.

I have no issue with him being a top 10 guy.

I would have him just outside the top 10 myself but he is my pick for biggest riser this year.

Horvath? I can't disagree. I'd probably pick the int'l guys to rise a bunch too though, especially with many likely graduations this year. That's true for all of them though.

    • I'm guessing that they could solve it this offseason if they want to. It's easy to put up a wall. What's difficult is putting in seating.
    • I think you can read a lot about the way he said things and his emotions while speaking. Just my opinion.
    • I think the opposite, Astro fans have an expectation of success, Oriole fans don't.
    • It could be a boon if you are targeting pitchers that are in a situation in which they need a one year make good deal to rehabilitate their value. Other than that,,,
    • Duh we brought in Kyle Giboson, Jordan Lyles, and Craig Kimbrel
    • The 13 game plan is guaranteed playoff tickets…….if you purchase them.  Since I assume you went through the team and chose your seat and purchased it with a card, you should get it back.   At least for me, my wife and I thought we were going to be moving 30 minutes away from our house, but instead of an hour from Baltimore, it would be 1 hour 45 minutes, so season tickets of any sort didn’t make sense.  I also figured that we would get hit with 4 pm games mid-week to start, so it all just didn’t make sense.   I am also surprised that my rep didn’t reach out to ask why.  I opted in before as a 29 game holder, in 2014, 15 and 16.  I went back to 29 games this year after two seasons with 13, and I’ve been a Birdland member since 2014.  Oh well.  We may be opting back into 13 next year, or not at all.  We will have to see.  My wife will sometimes get tickets from work, and they were always when we had tickets, so it didn’t make sense to take them.
    • That Jimmy Fallon movie was Fever Pitch.  Came out in late 2004 I think, because they had enough time to have the last scene being him and Drew Barrymore on the field in St. Louis celebrating the World Series win.  It actually was a really good movie at the time. But because the Red Sox and their fanbase became completely insufferable beginning with that comeback against the Yankees and carrying all the way through their 4 championships without so much as a loss in the World Series, it is hard for me to still enjoy it. But the underlying premise and that question of what has your favorite team ever done for you definitely resonated and certainly does even more so now with the Orioles.  And for Os fans the answer to that question is over the last 40 years, they haven't done much at all.
