The other owners hated PA too for the playing the Cuban National team stuff. 

Mussina acted like Mussina and didn’t give us a chance to match his best offer like he said he would. Did PA mess that up or did Mussina wanna chase rings and the HOF in NY?

It’s easy to say Angelos sucks etc… but damn the dude did sign Raffy, Alomar, Eric Davis(check out his O’s stats), Randy Myers, Albert Belle, Surhoff, etc…. Alomar was 28. Raffy was 29. What’s the equivalent to Alomar and Raffy today?  Is Rubenstein coming in next year and signing two guys like that?

It’s good to see John Angelos go, but big Pete was full force Darth Vader in his first seasons with the money he spent. Heck, PA even brough back Eddie Murray and squashed that beef.  Didn’t Angelos help out the blue collar workers with those Asbestos settlements?

Angelos caught a lot of heat early on for spending all that money on players. Then saying he wouldn’t use scab players. The average fan wanted us to hire Rick Dempsey over Buck Showalter and make Cal GM in 2012. So yeah… Angelos sucks. John…

This is a rosy presentation of Peter Angelos’ time running the Baltimore Orioles. The truth is their 14 year period of unprecedented awfulness in between ‘97 and ‘12. And the doesn’t even get into how he treated so many people terribly like Mike Flannigan, John Miller, Jim Hunter, and anyone including media who dared to question him. No I won’t be suckered into some history altering narrative about the ignores facts like these.

John Angelos is terrible. I bet none of us want to know how close we got to moving Nashville. 

What gives me hope that this sale is done by OD is that this was rumored months ago. John Angelos was just trying to get that land from the state. That was probably the only hold up with this sale.

I think John wont sell all the shares of the Orioles because he wants to be there when we get handed a title trophy.  He wont go away.

I think PA gets a bad wrap because when he came into the league he spent a lot of money when the rest of the owners were crying poor and wanted to lockout the players. Then he said he wouldn’t use scab players. 

Gee I wonder why the other owners didn’t like him.

I think you might to do a little more research or talk to a few more people. Peter Angelos was awful to A WHOLE LOT of people. The ones I mentioned are just but a few. 
 

Wow! I never thought I would live to see the day when somebody would say “Peter Angelos gets a bad wrap”. Do you know who the man is/was? Like how many stories have you heard about his treatment of people including banning media members from the stadium who dared to criticize him?
