He also has been excellent on defense when he is played and is clearly better than Cowser.   Not enough to close the gap in their hitting probably.    They've started sitting Ced vs a lot of lefties, and occasionally vs righties.   I expect if he continues to hit so poorly the % of starts vs righties will continue to slowly go down.
