I don't know what Holliday's supposed to do there if he takes a backdoor curveball outside the zone and then gets a whiffleball screw change that's in the same spot as the curveball.

Sucks that Holliday struck out, but that was a great job by the pitcher and the ump to screw us.  Pitcher threw great pitches that Holliday couldn't do anything with, and ump expanded the zone so Holliday had to protect the edge there.

I would really like to know what logic there is in trading for a guy with diminished velocity over the last three years, in the hopes that you can fix it, especially when the velocity at its best wasn’t very good.

It's almost like sac flies aren't actually that easy, and it's stupid to have two chances to get a hit instead of three.
