It’s Daniel Johnson not Urias coming up. And it’s apparently because Ced was unavailable last night and remains so. Neck soreness after that play in the ninth on Thursday.

Orioles transactions page on MLB.com says it's Daniel Johnson. He's had a really nice year in AAA. Hate to see Cedric go down but good opportunity for DJ. He has an option remaining.

Today is the last day a player can be optioned and still be eligible to be called up for the wild card series (unless replacing an injured player).  IL stints also need to begin today for position players to be eligible for WC series, though teams can backdate any stints to today up until Tuesday.

It’s an inconsequential thing but odd that Roch had this completely wrong re Urias. He might want to further confirm that source of his….

I look forward to seeing him.

But, according to mlb.com, Ced is in today's lineup.
