This Playoff Start From Burnes Defines His Time With the O’s

We need 7+ IP. 2ER or less. 

Load management all season. FA year so we played nice with him. It’s time for him to show up. He’ll get to throw to his preferred C in McCann because of LH Skubal.

I like to try and be realistic, but this Tigers lineup is very beatable.  The bar should really be higher than 7+ IP.

No more excuses.

This is why we gave up alot first him. Would like to see 7-8 starts from him in this postseason.

I saw an article that predicted Burnes would resign with the Os. I didn’t read it because I was busy at the time, so don’t know how reliable is the source, but there’s at least one positive prediction, at least.

Of course this Tigers lineup is beatable.  After all, we beat them 2 out of the 6 times we played them this year.

Burnes pitched on 9/14 and 9/20 against the Tigers,he dominated them. Pitched 7 innings both games,and only gave up a combined 5 hits and 0 earned runs.

Which will make it very disappointing if he doesn’t dominate them again.  But it’s not easy to dominate an opponent three times in an 18-day window.

Not really.  I mean, when he had his rough patch in August I’m sure that it was pointed out that he had some bad luck in that stretch, which was true, but nobody was saying it was all just bad luck.   And nobody has to make excuses for his 1.20 September ERA or his overall season numbers, which were excellent.

I  agree,the O's are going to have to score early to take some pressure off him. Its going to be an interesting game 1. Thats assuming we play Detroit,which seems likely.
