I'd rather watch that than the 12-10 stuff. Why is Freel on the team if we don't let him bat there? He's the one who is supposed to be a decent bench guy. Maybe Zaun had good numbers against Saito but sheesh.

A loss sucks but I'm not sure why everyone is so pissed. It was a great game for Koji and we were bested by a better pitcher. At least we threatened to score a few times.

Most game threads are complaining. I usually dont complain, but today I am a little.

Message boards are a place unfortuantely where the positive is not often accentuated.

Last year, we had a bunch of excellent game threads in which the finer points of the game were discussed. A fair amount of disagreement, but it was mostly a good quality discussion. In a game like today's game, there would have been a whole lot of discussion about the pitching, and exactly what was happening. Not just, "Oooh, he's dealing" and complaints about pitch-counts, but actual discussion where folks observe and learn stuff about baseball while the game is being played.

Sadly, the venters and anger-thumpers have chased away most of those folks. It's a damn shame.

The venters' response is, "Too bad. Deal with it". That's because it's not about baseball, it's all about their emotions. The lowest common denominator can always win a shouting war.
