Can you believe this? I'm postively giddy. I realize it's a hitter's league, a small sample size, etc. etc. yada yada yada. All I know is that the two most important hitting prospects in the organization are kicking butt and taking names. They are both making a strong case to be allowed to come to spring training and try to win a roster spot for Opening Day.

He hit his 2B off Hill the LHSP. The HR was off of Aumont who got rocked.

10/22: Only Brandon Snyder is in the lineup today, batting 3rd as the DH.

He just flied out to CF to be 0-1 on the day so far.

Snyder grounded out in his second AB. 0-2.

In his third AB, Snyder sac flied to the CF. 0-2.

Some other name-drop notes, Strasburg is on the hill today for the DesertDogs, and Dustin Ackley is playing in LF for the Javelinas.

Strasburg is really wild right now. 4 ER in the first two innings.

Third inning, Strasburg hung a curveball over the plate. Grand slam home run. DD's are down 8-3 now.
