Tanaka is starting today (10/13) in the opener, Snyder is playing 1B batting 3rd and Bell is at 3B batting 6th vs. the Mesa Solar Sox.

Tanaka just gave up a dinger in the first and Snyder is 0-1.

I cannot believe that with Steven Strasburg on the roster, the Desert Dogs go with Tanaka as the Opening Day starter.

I'm watching the game on Gametracker, and that pitch that Bell popped to Matt Dominguez at third was a pretty high pitch, above the zone to hit.

Realistically though, I expect to see him hitting with more power while not playing in Norfolk. I really think Snyder is gonna be quite a bit more powerful than hes prjected as...

Glad to see Snyder get off to a good start. As to the poster who commented that he couldn't beleive Tanaka started instead of Strasburg, I believe Strasburg pitched in an instructional league game just a few days ago, so it's probably not his day to pitch. And I don't think the AFL is a place where the order of the rotation means anything at all.
