Lots of deep counts, foul balls and a few too many hits.

Same prohibitive things that kept him from going deep into games last year, and it boils down to fastball command. He's got nasty stuff and he is poised and good at limiting the damage, which is reflected in his low ERAs, but he needs to get ahead of more hitters and be more pitch efficient.
