I would imagine they had to have had one of the longest waits of an expansion franchise to reach 1,000 victories. Terrible doesn't even begin to describe their first ten seasons of existence.

Believe it or not, the Mets did not get their 1,000th franchise victory until their 15th season of existence, one year longer than it took the D-Rays.

Orioles got their 971st win today since the Rays played their first game. To put into perspective, the Rays won 96, 84, and 97 games over the past 3 seasons and they are only 29 ahead of the Orioles. The Rays won 79 more games than the Orioles in the last three seasons (not even counting this year) and they are only 29 wins ahead of Baltimore. What a turnaround for that franchise.
