Urrutia's numbers look good compared to the OF the dodgers just signed for 42 million. Great sign for 780K!!

ESPN - The 6-foot-3, 250 pound Puig was considered the fastest player in Cuba and the top prospect in the country's premier league. He batted .330 with 17 home runs, 47 RBIs and 78 runs scored in 327 at-bats with the Cienfuegos Elefantes in the 2010-11 season.

To me, this makes Hoes slightly expendable.

I think you might be right. Shame, if true, because he's a relatively local guy that everybody says has a good attitude, but if we make a trade, we have to trade somebody, and that's usually from surplus. At any rate, I'm sure the FO knows which one of Avery and Hoes they'd prefer to keep

My thoughts are it took them long enough to officially announce it. Were they waiting for airline tickets to drop in price before they announced it?

It probably took them that long just to make ALL of the paperwork official. This is no easy transaction coming from Cuba. ;)
