Nice to have a laugher for once

And yesterday as well.  We're a class above the Rangers.

Let's all remember that when everyone screams for free agents this winter.

Crazy thing is Texas actually had a positive run differential (462-456) before tonight's game. The Rangers look absolutely dreadful and among the worst teams the O's have played this season.

And yet, not a class above the Reds.

Feels good to come back and handle the Rangers though.  Hoping for a sweep tomorrow.

Your point about the Reds is right on.   Baseball’s a game of ups and downs.  Beating a team in a series doesn’t say much about which team is better, it’s just who had a good few days.  Saying that, 100+ games says we’re considerably better than the Rangers.   So, hopefully we can win today’s game.

I don't know if this qualifies as a "laugher".

But tonight was only the THIRD time all year that the Orioles:

  • Led by at least 4 runs going into the 7th
  • Maintained at least a 4 run lead for the rest of the game

April 4 (7-2 win over Texas), and April 22 (5-1 win over Detroit), were the other two.   Both Gibson starts.

Pretty amazing we are the second best record in baseball and we haven't had more "easy" wins.

I was there tonight and it was nice to have a drama free 8th and 9th for once.

I’m 4-0 at OPACY this year so far.  At least 6 games to go.

I remember early on in the year that Mike Elias said we haven’t had a game where we were “firing on all cylinders” (in that the offense was hitting well, the pitching was shut down and the defense was great).

This might be our closest all year? Entirely possible I’m forgetting.

I think so. There was the game against KC that we won 11-3. Other than that, we haven’t had a dominating game.
