The guy can hit, no doubt. But it doesn't make that big of a difference if he's missing 40-70 of 162 games due to injury.

Which he has done in 3 of his 6 MLB seasons. During his physical prime. Which generally ends at age 32. Which is the age he will be next year. When he's playing in the first year of his new 4 or 5 year, $100-120 million dollar contract.

Which, thankfully, he will be doing somewhere other than Baltimore.

Ok, thanks for the info on his rookie season. I would contend that his injuries have not been recurring injuries and again referring to my earlier post he's likely to have less wear and tear going forward with the move to LF.

I won't be beside myself if we don't get him, because unlike some on this issue I think with the team we had in the second half for a whole season is an improvement. We just need Davis to improve his defense at 1B.
