The Orioles are among the teams interested in Bronson Arroyo

Yeah, there's no way Arroyo at his age is a lock for anything. If 2013 proved to be his last effective season in the Majors it would not be that surprising.

Disagree. Arroyo has NEVER been on the DL. That's not luck. He has good mechanics and he doesn't put a lot of stress on his arm.

With Capuano, not only is there a great chance of him getting hurt, but there's a high risk of him falling short of whatever Capuano supporters believe he can do. He's done most of his damage in the National League. Arroyo pitched well in a hitter's home park. Sure, it was also in the NL, but his home park is very comparable to Camden Yards. Arroyo would be able to eat innings, even if it's at a 4.00-4.25 ERA. That would be valuable to this team. A lot would have to go right for Capuano to provide significant value to this team.

Over the last three years Arroyo has been worth 1.6 WAR over 96 starts...He wants 3 years at 10mil+

Capuano has 4.8 WAR over 84 starts...Looking for 1 year at 5 mil

Capuano is the value move here..

If he's able to stay on the mound, which he hasn't been able to do in two of the past 4 years.

This is an example where I'm not a fan of using WAR. You used fangraphs? Bb-ref favors Arroyo at 5.1 to Capuano's 2.2 over the same time period. Arroyo has a much better ERA+.

I am surprised that Capuano made as many starts as he did.
