Is he responsible for this underwhelming homestand? I thought so. :)

We need a solid effort by Miguel. And some early runs off Cobb, who's very tough on us. We need a W. We're 3-3 on a homestand. I thought we had a shot a 8-3 homestand. I guess not. Let's try to 7-4 by winning today and taking 3 of 4 from TX.

He is responsible for yesterday's thread! And the last two before were losses! Unreal!

Orioles now have two confirmed starters for their four-game series against the Rangers at Camden Yards.

Ubaldo Jimenez will start Monday night's opener and Chris Tillman will start on Wednesday. Reliever T.J. McFarland remains a prime candidate to take the mound Tuesday, and manager Buck Showalter said he's leaning toward using left-hander Wei-Yin Chen on normal rest Thursday.

Kevin Gausman will throw a bullpen session Monday in Aberdeen. Nothing is scheduled for him beyond that day.

The Rangers are starting Joe Saunders, Nick Martinez, Nick Tepesch and Yu Darvish in the four-game series.

Bud Norris is eligible to come off the disabled list on July 7, and the Orioles will have a better idea whether he will be able to make his start that night at Nats Park after he throws a bullpen session in the next two or three days.

    • Did you people actually watch the Burnes interview on Foul Territory?  The "they" comment was in reference to the AAA team.  They asked him if the O's club house was aware of what Norfolk is doing down there and do the O's check them out.  He replied, "We've been seeing it.  The guys in our club house have played with a lot of those guys. "  He then mentions all the guys mashing for Norfolk by name.  He calls Stowers, "Stowser"; but gets everyone else's name right.  He then goes on to say how tough it is for the AAA  guys,  "The lineup that we have can produce 10 runs on any given night is pretty special and the depth that this organization has is kind of scary for years to come."      Regarding Holliday, he mentions he told Jackson to stay away from him because of all the cameras and hype.   He said he would talk to Jackson when the hype dies down to ensure he is comfortable.  Honestly, I view that as veteran leadership.  Nothing Burnes said was douchie in any way.
    • He's only been in the lineup three games.  Not surprised he's struggling to hit with all the unnecessary baseball media hype all around him.  Cowser, Ortiz and Stowers all struggled for awhile, and I think Gunnar maybe did too.
    • I have no clue what you’re trying to say, but I gather you have a very different view on marriage than JH does. Who is to say you’re right and he’s wrong?
    • Bradfield has a .462 OBP so far in the minors. Not sure where the heck you are getting that comp.
    • Probably because he’s not physically imposing.   He’s never going to be as big and strong as most of his teammates but he might become better.
    • You lost me with the bit about the lineups and putting pressure on Holliday.   He’s batting 9th.   That’s the least pressure spot in the lineup.   He struggled with Westburg in front of him and now with Hays.   Let’s not go out of our way to find silly excuses for the kid.
