    • Too much: worried about only 2 months of Miller vs a long career of ERod

It won't be as bad as the Davis trade even if Ed Rod has a similar career to Curt Schilling, which would be a very good career indeed, because the Orioles also gave up two other productive players.

But it does look like a terrible trade. If Ed Rod turns into a dominant starting pitcher then it could one day rival Doyle Alexander for John Smoltz.

No and it's not even close. I don't think I seen one post on here where someone said they wouldn't trade Rodriguez last summer before the trade.

I saw many threads that said that they were very pissed at Dan Duquette for not offering Ed-Rod for Bud Norris instead of Hader. That was what I saw. Because we had hung on to him too long and he was no longer a prospect. Stupid Orioles.

3 starts and you're declaring it worse than the Davis trade?

I wonder if anyone could dig up ChuckS' comments about this trade on the day of the trade?

No, obviously you didn't read full my post. I stated that if EdRod ends up with a career similar to CC Sabathia, will this be just as bad as the Glenn Davis trade? I'm proposing a hypothetical. I think someone else is jumping to conclusions.

BTW, I'm not condemning the front office or saying that we shouldn't have made the trade at the time. I was more or less neutral on the trade when it occurred. I thought it was high risk and wasn't happy that Miller was a two month rental. I felt a player like EdRod should have gotten at least a year and change of Miller.

We also didn't win anything with Miller. I don't care what anyone says. He wasn't the difference in us winning the division because as good as he was he wasn't worth 12 games. And maybe the Tigers series is closer (4-1 or 4-2), but we win that one too. So in the end he wasn't a difference maker.

No one is jumping to conclusions here. I am proposing a question. I think it is UNDENIABLE that EdRod's stuff is comparable to a prime CC.

Will Mike wright be in the same HOF class because, if so, I'll make the trip to Cooperstown.
