Go get 'em BG. Can BG be as good as Hunter Harvey?

SI did a good article on review in baseball. Every Monday, the league submits all of the replays for the week. Some umpires in the MLB have an fail rate on calls over 80%, some of the best are in the teens on getting plays wrong. Needless to say, the league is grading umps and those umps who show competence in making calls will be getting playoff games, etc. Hopefully, if a guy is wrong 80% of the time like a few of them have been, they will demote them or something.

Demote an untouchable, unionized employee?

The World Umpires Association might have a thing or two to say about that.

Talk about demotions and we might have another umpire strike on our hands.

It would only stand to reason that if one can be promoted, then he can be demoted. Let them bring in scrubs, then. The umpiring is awful as it stands with the "pros".
