You're stating a tautology as if it is some sort of insight. I would bet almost every team scores more when they hit home runs than when they don't.

The example does reveal the flaw in your logic. If you don't see that, I can't help you.

It's not the number of runs scored, it's the reliance on a particular method of scoring. But tell you what...go look up the numbers for yourself "when you have time." Go figure out how the O's fare relative to other teams in terms of scoring runs via methods other than the homerun, and get back to me. Hell, start a thread.

You started the argument by implying that "all those other (non-HR related) runs" mean the O's do a decent (at least) job of creating runs when they don't hit HRs. I say they don't, and I've started your research for you. But your responses have been (extremely) intellectually lazy and inconsistent. And I'm done until you decide to actually do some legwork.
