For his career, he is a 89 wRC+ vs RHP. I'll take that sample over anything he did in 90 PAs last year with a .350+ BABIP. Prior to that, you have to go back to 2009 in another small sample to find him better than league average against RHP.

I'm not disagreeing here. Only to say he did make an adjustment with his hands last season, lowering them and they were away from his body. It seemed to me it allowed him to more freely get started loading and through the zone.

Of course, we'll have to see quite a few more ABs to see if there is any long term success with that adjustment, but remember Pearce made an important adjustment to his hands and stance which has made quite a difference.
