I've noticed this causes alot of ground ball roll over choppers from time to time too. Can ve frustrating especially when it costs the Orioles 2 outs from a double play. -

Tough month for Mountcastle. Really thought he had taken the next step post-vertigo. 5 years in the league and he’s still flirting with a .300 OBP. That being said, a 115 OPS+ 1 month into a slump is a pretty good rolling average. He turned out to be Adam Jones if Jones was a bit slower and couldn’t play a premium position in the field. A decent hit in the first round for Duquette after whiffing on Dj Stewart. -
Agreed. I was asking about the rate, not the amount, of grounders to the 3B and SS as opposed to the 2B and 1B that are turned into DP’s. Also, on most nights we have 6 hitters from the left side. Not sure how that compares to everyone else. -

Its possible Burnes was put off by what happened to Boras players this offseason. Then again maybe bref is wrong. -

Yeah, I can't see extending Means as a smart decision. He operates on too small of a margin of good outcomes. If his stuff is a little off, he is getting hammered. Would be nice to lock up Gray Rod while he still might be affordable. Hopefully Povich will make a successful transition to the majors next year to fill one of the spots. I can't see the O's going more than #3 starter money for a pitcher. Just doesn't make sense to lock up that much money in a starting pitcher.
