I think that while it is possible these guys are generally highly motivated individuals that are playing for high stakes.

Would you mail it in if it could mean millions in future earnings?

Yes. They were doing a better job of hitting the ball where it was pitched, and swinging at fewer pitches out of the strike zone. Even Jones started the season with better discipline, which is why he hit so well the first month or so.

I don't think they are mailing it in. I think these guys are tired and when things aren't going well I think your focus can wander, only human.
