Should Schoop be quietly shopped for a SP?

I think he will be close to AS caliber at some point in his career if not this year.

But his bat is redundant in this lineup. His defense (and power?) can be somewhat replicated by Flaherty.

No. Too much upside and too much team control left. No one in the minors to replace him. I would shop Britton though. Britton is replaceable.

I appreciate Schoop being an attractive piece that could get you something worthwhile, but this would be a terrible idea. We finally get a couple homegrown stars/budding stars for the next 5-10 years and the first chance someone gets, they want to trade one of 'em.
