Of course it is odd how Kim is the one that always seems to be on the short end of these sticks...

Using Buck's logic Joseph should be starting, he's got an OPS 3K higher than Wieters. Also Nolan should be playing (2250 OPS)

Maybe Nolan should be starting for Trumbo (167 OPS)

Pitcher has reverse splits. RHBs are hitting .300 against him this year. Makes sense but it does seem like Buck uses every excuse in the book to get Kim out of the lineup...but Pearce is hot too.

This is his eighth year in the league, you don't go by this season. For his career he doesn't have reverse splits.

I'm guessing if pressed Buck will use Pearce's 4 for 11 while ignoring Trumbo's struggles.

Although he does have traditional splits for his career, it is a very small difference. If you really want to find a way to get Pearce in the lineup, this would be a decent guy to do it. I am not saying I agree with it, just that it's part of Buck's thought process.
