Andrew Miller would do more to make the Cubs untouchable than Chapman. If I were the Cubs I'd give up Baez or Almora for Miller.

I really doubt Hal Steinbrenner lets Cashman deal him or anybody else unless it is late July and the Yanks are out if it. It isn't the Steinbrenner way to bail on a season.

Andrew Miller's best season of his life is 2.2fWAR, he costs 9M per year and is under control for 2.5 years.

Baez has accumulated .9fWAR in only 123PAs multiply by 4.5 for full season pace for 4.1fWAR. He is basically free and under control for 5.5 more years.

Don't confuse a modest win streak with a playoff shot. Cashman has to know he has a weak team that is old and brittle. If they can get some talent they will make the deal. Especially witha rental.

They will cash him in. I love how if the O's back out of a contract over a physical Gammons and others blast them, meanwhile the Yanks got Chapman for nothing because he beats women and it will be painted as a shrewd wise move.
