We got Adam back!

The power has been there lately, but I'd still like to see him getting more hits and getting on base more. He's still under .250 with a sub-.300 OBP, and even during his June hot streak his BA has been in the low .270s and his OBP under .300. He's had much hotter streaks than this in other years. However, at least he's out of his funk and I do think that's picked up the whole team.

I must say, putting Adam in the leadoff spot has been a stroke of genius. This reeked of a desperation move that made no rational sense. AJ has a terrible OBP and has always been a free swinger. From day one of the move he has been more patient and productive as a result.

.281/.309/.561/.870 batting in the leadoff spot.

The one stat that doesn't make sense is that leading off games (the only situation that batting in the leadoff spot makes a theoretical difference) AJ is hitting .250/.333/.250/.583. Who knows, maybe it is coincidence and AJ could put up .870 batting #5.
