Scherzer is a pitcher (to use a Buck term), and our "A" pen (that is, referring to the league they belong in) implodes epically. What's new.

...Answering my own question. "What's new?" I ask? Ubaldo pitching 6 IP 1 ER. That's new. But it wasn't enough for our failure of a bullpen (Britton, O'Day and Brach excepted, of course). Or our completely clueless offense that knows not how to hit a pitcher with a competitive repertoire.

You do that every night, especially with a team without a killer run differential (I.e lots of close games) and your bullpen won't last. Buck managed his way to 3 wins in a 4 game series. You can't burn your pen trying to win them all.

He's always been to confident in his pitching. Dude isn't really that good unless it's against crappy hitters. IMO.
